Storm damage at Kaiteriteri

Before ex-cyclone Gita ripped through, there was Fehi, which hit New Zealand on the 1st of February 2018. The storm + spring tides tore up the coastline in Tasman Bay. The damage to the beach and walkway shown here at Little Kaiteriteri was repeated along the Tasman coast, closing walkways and cycle tracks.

Top of Takaka Hill

This photo was taken at the top of the Takaka Hill walkway. In the distance, rain is coming in over the mountains west of Takaka. Marble is formed when limestone is subjected to heat and pressure.
